Pregnancy
We offer ultrasound technology allowing our team to diagnose pregnancies as early as twenty-six days.
Fetal sexing, between days sixty and ninety of pregnancy, with ultra sound technology allows our team to provide you with information regarding the sex of the calf to make important marketing decisions.
Artificial Insemination
Available in clinic or on farm.
Offerings include:
Genetic improvement: Allows producers to improve their genetic base by selecting for genetic improvements and retaining resulting heifers
Genetic diversity: Allows producers to use as many different sires as desired for genetic diversity, in contrast to being limited to purchased bulls
Synchronized bovine artificial insemination: Allows our producers to calve seventy to eighty percent of their calves in the first ten days of the calving season
Reduces labor and time during the calving season by focusing labor on a reduced calving window
Allows producers to capture real market advantages
Produces a more even calf crop by reducing age gaps between calves, thus selling a larger group of even weight calves
Older calves have a market advantage of $100 - $200
Calves born in the first ten days of the calving season are typically fifty to a hundred pounds heavier than calves born in the middle to end of the calving season.
Selecting for faster growing calves through genetic selection produces bigger calves
