Wheatland Veterinary Hospital is proud to serve Oklahoma and the surrounding area with top-notch equine sports medicine specialty services.
Special Services Include:
Lameness Examinations
Regenerative Therapies
RenoVō®: a liquid, acellular, equine amniotic tissue allograft product comprised of amnion and amniotic fluid intended to supplement and protect tissues that is cryopreserved and available at the time of exam.
This product may be used intra-articular, intra-lesional or locally.
Amnion and amniotic fluid are rich sources of biologically active factors involved in tissue regeneration with reported anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, re-epithelialization, and anti-fibrotic properties.
Amniotic tissues contain key growth factors, amino acid, hyaluronic acid, proteoglycans, and extracellular matrix proteins recognized as intrinsic to the complex tissue healing process.
Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy
Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) is a noninvasive therapeutic modality that uses high-energy acoustic pressure waves and applies them to tissues to accelerate healing and/or reduce pain and inflammation.
Shock wave therapy is applied superficially to tissues. Energy enters the body and is released in the tissues when it meets an area of density change. The body’s cells then release anti-inflammatory, angiogenic (new blood vessels), and osteogenic proteins and growth factors that aid in pain relief, tissue regeneration, and bone healing.
